UCA is developing the new Certified Urgent Care Management Professional (CUCMP) curriculum. CUCMP certification will be a vital designation for any urgent care professional seeking to advance their knowledge and distinguish themselves within the industry.  This designation will differ from the current UCMC (Urgent Care Management Certificate) in that applicants must demonstrate one of the following:
1.  A clinical Degree + 1-year supervisory experience in ambulatory care medicine; OR,
2.  2 years of supervisory experience in ambulatory care medicine; OR,
 3. A Certificate in Urgent Care Management (UCMC) from UCA + 1-year supervisory experience
Candidates will need approximately 60 credits followed by an examination at the conclusion to achieve the CUCMP designation.  The examination will cover coursework and practical management scenarios including those unique to the on-demand healthcare industry.  Bundle pricing for the curriculum will be offered at member and non-member rates.
UCA is committed to having no less than 20% of the coursework available by our Fall Conference (October 12-14 in Houston, TX) and completing all courses by Fall of 2019 so you can attain the CUCMP designation in one year, though you will have up to three years following receipt of your application.
The UCMC program will remain intact although is likely to take on a new look next year.  Watch for more information in the coming weeks!
