Press Pass Rules

The UCAOA 2017 Convention & Expo Media Credentials are intended only for working media and are valid for the Main Convention from Monday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 3. Media Credentials are not valid for Evening Receptions, Members’ Luncheon, or any food functions (breakfast, lunch, receptions.)

  • Press Passes are restricted to credentialed journalists from recognized external print, broadcast, syndicated or online news organizations.
  • Prohibited from applying for a Press Pass are: publishers or a news media outlet’s advertising, marketing, public relations, or sales representatives; public relations, marketing, advertising or sales staff/representatives of exhibitors, sponsors or educational institutions; financial and/or market analysts and/or investment advisors; freelancers and bloggers working without an assignment or those who aren’t actually reporting on the convention or the industry.
  • Television, video crews and still photographers must check in at the press office each day and are prohibited from taking images unless accompanied by a UCAOA representative.

A valid government-issued photo ID is needed along with your credentials to gain access to the UCAOA convention.


The UCAOA 2017 Convention & Expo is being held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor Maryland 20745. Check in is required at UCAOA Registration located in the Maryland Ballroom Foyer, Ballroom Lever. Click here to view a complete schedule of events. Media Center hours are as follows:

  • Monday, May 1: 8am - 5:45pm
  • Tuesday, May 2: 8am - 5:15pm
  • Wednesday, May 3: 8:30am-12:15pm
