The UCA Accreditation Team would like to recognize all of our accredited organizations who are working towards not only maintaining the highest level of quality care and patient safety, but are doing so at the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. We thank you for your dedication to the health and safety of the public and are here to help in any way that we can.
With the understanding of how important urgent care organizations are in fighting the pandemic, UCA has decided to cancel surveys in the months of March and April and will continue to monitor the situation for future cancellations in the months of May-July depending on healthcare dynamics.
If your organization’s accreditation status expires within the months of March-May, UCA will provide an extension to ensure there is no lapse in accreditation status. If your state has approved the CMS 1135 Waiver allowing for out-of-state practitioners to provide services in a state they are unlicensed in, UCA credentialing standards will also remain flexible and will align with the State and Federal guidelines.
UCA Accreditation demonstrates a commitment to provide the scope of care consistent with an urgent care center that meets the criteria of the UCA certified center, including x-ray and laboratory services, as well as a quality and safety commitment to your patients and your employees. It represents the only endeavor in the industry that will provide the applicant dual Accreditation and Certification.
