Clinical Use of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in UC – 1 p.m. CST
The webinar will inform the audience of the importance of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK US) and how it can change their medical practice. A review of the basic physics of ultrasound to gain a better understanding of why, when, and how MSK US should be used and when it cannot be used will occur. Dr. Luchs’ discussion will provide attendees with examples of both normal and abnormal anatomy as seen on MSK US. By the end of the webinar attendees will know how MSK US works and its limitations, usage, and indications as well as why and how healthcare providers should use it as a diagnostic tool and in the care of their patients.
Dr. Jonathan Luchs is a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologist and has been in practice since 2004. He completed his fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and his training included not only MSK MRI, CT, X-rays and MSK Procedures but also the interpretation and performance of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK US) and Ultrasound guided musculoskeletal procedures.
His MSK Radiology career began in the world of academics where he was the assistant professor of Clinical Radiology, Chief of MSK Radiology, Medical Director of Outpatient Imaging, and Radiology Residency Program Director at a Hospital in New York for nearly a decade.
Dr. Luchs left the academic world to pursue a career in the world of Teleradiology. He joined Premier Radiology and soon after became partner, a medical director and helped create FLEX Teleradiology. Currently, he is Chief Medical Officer of Premier Radiology and FLEX Teleradiology.
