The delivery of urgent care services in a changing healthcare environment is increasingly complex. Project management skills are essential for organization leaders, particularly once the organization has moved to a multi-site status. This webinar will demonstrate how to utilize project management techniques to identify problems or opportunities, establish implementation plans and utilize standardized methodology to improve financial and operating performance.
Karen Hughes is a Customer Success Manager at Craneware with over 30 years of healthcare experience, encompassing physical therapy private practice ownership, practice management, Director of Outpatient Rehab services, and Director of Clinical Operational Effectiveness department. Ms. Hughes is a physical therapist with a Masters in Healthcare Administration and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSS BB). She has used the project management and LEAN methodology to provide a data driven, DMAIC approach to improve efficiencies and quality outcomes across a health care system. Karen has developed visually appealing executive dashboards in order to improve performance and has also provided education, mentorship and coaching to other colleagues and physical therapy students related to LSS training, revenue cycle and quality improvement. She is still actively involved with the American Physical Therapy Association and their Health Policy & Administration section. Karen lives in friendly Buffalo, New York.
