Evaluation of Chest Pain and Acute Coronary Syndrome

Chest pain is a common acute complaint and usually has a benign cause. Among all those who present with chest pain, however, even in urgent care, life threatening causes are possible and need to be identified. This presentation will provide guidelines and take a deep dive into how to diagnose, manage and plan disposition and follow up for these patients.
Bahar Sedarati, MD is a Board Certified Internist, a physician executive with diverse experience across the continuum of care, including private medical practice, medical group management, integrated delivery system leadership. She is the co-founder and held the role as Chief Executive Officer of two startup primary care and urgent care. She serves as the National Medical Director and Physician Trainer for Humana and she trains physicians across the country on acute and post-acute care admission criteria. She is a member of UCA, where she serves as co-chair of the documentation review committee and is a member of the practice management committee. Bahar is also the chair of CalUCA (UCA California Chapter) education committee and just recently joined the UCA foundation board of trustees. Bahar has created innovative tools to elevate patients’ quality of care and augmenting the efficacy of revenue cycle through clinical documentation, and smarter utilization methods.
