The rapid rise of urgent care centers in New Hampshire is underscored by the growth of ConvenientMD, which debuted in Windham in 2012 and now operates nine clinics in the Granite State as well as three locations in Maine and two in Massachusetts.
ConvenientMD centers are popping up at busy intersections like chain drug stores. That’s no accident, CEO Max Puyanic says. The company chooses its locations carefully, targeting high-traffic corners designed to make ConvenientMD a familiar mainstay in the communities it serves.
Puyanic, a former investment banker, and business partner of Gareth Dickens, the company’s executive chairman, spent more than a year visiting 300 urgent care centers across the country before creating their own.
