Urgent Care Association Members Gain Exclusive, Complimentary Access to UCA2020 On-Demand Conference
Ongoing Virtual Learning Offers Over 50 Sessions, CME Courses, Live Webinars and More
Warrenville, Ill. – Sept. 8, 2020 – The Urgent Care Association (UCA) today announced that access to its robust, ongoing virtual education platform, UCA2020 On-Demand, will now be complimentary as an exclusive benefit of association membership. Through December, UCA members will have complimentary access to live webinars and over 50 practice management and clinical sessions, many of which carry CME credit. The UCA2020 On-Demand content also includes access to recorded sessions from the recent Urgent Care Industry Clinical Consortium, which took place in late July and focused on industry preparedness for the upcoming ‘twindemic’ of influenza and COVID-19. The Consortium featured speakers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state health departments and industry vendors, including Experity, Abbott, Quidel, Cepheid and Roche.
“UCA is committed to supporting the ongoing needs of urgent care centers, in good times as well as in times of need. There’s a lot of free education available right now in response to COVID-19, but so little of it is specific to urgent care. We felt it was important for us to waive tuition to these programs for anyone who is or would like to become a member of UCA,” said Lou Ellen Horwitz, chief executive officer of the UCA. “The content in UCA2020 On-Demand was created by the industry, for the industry. We hope this gift to our membership helps urgent cares continue to grow and transform as we all meet these new challenges. We’d also like to thank our corporate support partners Experity Health and the Quidel Corporation who have generously supported us in this initiative.”
The UCA2020 On-Demand platform provides opportunities to engage, learn and network through the remainder of the year and is accessible on any device from home or on-the-go. Sessions for both clinical and practice management professionals are hosted by a myriad of industry thought leaders on topics such as emergency preparedness, recognizing measles and acute flaccid myelitis (AFM) in children, detecting acute myocardial infarctions, building better onboarding programs, and more.
Benefits of UCA Membership
UCA2020 On-Demand is now an exclusive benefit of UCA membership, which provides opportunities for individuals and organizations in the urgent care industry to enhance their career and improve their operations through education, networking and access to industry resources.
