UCAOA congratulates the new Urgent Care Fellows on their recent admission into fellowships in Urgent Care Medicine. UCAOA is pleased to support these fellowships and their contribution to the field of urgent care with annual grants of $10,000 for each fellow.
Rockford Fellowship Program
Linu Samuel, MD, MS
Dr. Linu Samuel graduated with this medical degree from the American University of Antiqua College of Medicine, Antiqua, West Indies and completed his residency at Wayne State University. He successfully served as Chief Resident during his third year of residency training. Dr. Samuel is known for his communications skills and ability to build rapport with his patients. We a Master’s degree in Health Services Research, he looks forward to opening his own qualified urgent care facility. Dr. Samuel’s personal interests include: traveling, live music and searching for the perfect cup of coffee.
Pamona Valley Fellowship Program
Monique Castro, MD
Dr. Castro is a graduate of the California State University of Los Angeles with a BS in biology. She subsequently graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry with the MD degree. Her residency was in Family Medicine at Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine. She will be the first Fellow in the Pomona Valley Hospital UCC Fellowship program and is looking forward to being part of the program's development.
