There are two different levels of recognition for urgent care centers

1. UCAOA Accreditation Program

As the highest level of distinction, UCAOA Accreditation is the only program of its kind to showcase those urgent care centers that meet both certification criteria for scope of services and accreditation standards of quality and safety.

Developed for urgent care, by urgent care professionals, this mark of excellence is attainable by both large and small organizations, those that have been traditionally accredited by other organizations, and those seeking accreditation for the first time. Learn more now.

2. Certified Urgent Care (CUC) Program

As the leading force to define and answer what is an urgent care center, UCAOA’s CUC Program recognizes urgent care facilities that meet nationally standardized criteria to demonstrate their commitment to meet the scope of minimal expectations to define a qualified urgent care facility. This designation tells the public and payers that the urgent care center's scope of practice is consistent with a set of UCAOA criteria defining easy access and services that allow for care of a broad spectrum of illness, injury and disease. Urgent care centers with the CUC designation have a mark of distinction to educate their community and stakeholders, gain an edge in marketing their level of services, and eliminate confusion with other kinds of providers.
