California State Chapter Support

Dear California UCAOA Members,

As UCAOA Board Members from California, we believe that UCAOA’s California members would benefit from the formation of a California State Chapter.

UCAOA state chapters will play an important role in the fulfillment of our National association’s mission while providing an opportunity for urgent care professionals to work with a network of peers who are familiar with the challenges and nuances affecting urgent care in a specific state or region. Chapters also serve as an important conduit of information, alerting UCAOA staff and Board as well as each other of any state level regulatory & legislative changes or issues.

Urgent care centers in California face distinct challenges due to the unique regulatory/legislative structure and payer activity in our state.  Our goal is to form a California State Chapter that would give our members the opportunity to:

·         Exchange information on issues unique to the industry in our region through a State Chapter publication;

·         Organize lobbying efforts in Sacramento when needed to affect legislation or regulation in California that may impact urgent care;

·         Coordinate workshops with a California perspective on issues such as HR practice and risk management; and,

·         Become part of an online community providing members with the ability to search and interact with other California members and centers.

In order to start the process of becoming a State Chapter, we need 50 signatures of current UCAOA members.  No commitment has been made at this point, but you are indicating your interest in support of launching a state chapter in California. We encourage all of our California members to show their interest and support by completing the form below. If you are interested in taking an active role in launching our California State Chapter, please contact Tonia Trimuel via email at ttrimuel@ucaoa.org.  We welcome and encourage your participation and support!

Sincerely,
