New to Urgent Care - Nursing & Medical Assistant Training is being offered in two options: 1 morning session or 1 afternoon session to meet the demands of busy schedules. Register using the 2016 Regional Conference online or hard copy form, indicating which session you will be attending. Please note, each session is capped at 40 participants. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; act now!

 Option 1: Morning session | Course Director: Sean McNeeley, MD
 8-8:30am  Attendee Registration
 8:30am-12pm   Nursing & Medical Assistant Training
This hands-on course is intended for nurses and medical assistants to sharpen their skills in caring for the urgent care patient. Although there will be a brief introductory lecture for each section, the majority of time is spent learning the topic firsthand in small groups. Training focuses on the roles of the nursing and MA staff members and concentrates on four areas: triaging patients; role in emergencies; wounds and injuries focusing on cleaning, bandages and splints, in general; and finally, how children are different.

 1-1:30pm  Attendee Registration
 1:30-5pm  Nursing & Medical Assistant Training
