2018 Urgent Care Foundation Awards

2018 Award recipients will be recognized May 7, 2018 during the Urgent Care Foundation Awards Ceremony which will take place during the Urgent Care Convention & Expo, May 5-9, 2018 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.   Meet our past UCAOA laureates.


Rising Stars in Urgent Care Award - NEW

The Urgent Care Foundation will honor 5 individuals who are new to the Urgent Care industry with the 2018 Rising Stars in Urgent Care Award.  These individuals represent the best and brightest newcomers in the industry.  Nominees must have a proven track record of leadership, innovation, dedication to community and the urgent care industry. Any employee in your organization who meets the criteria can be nominated for this award.

Outstanding Achievement Award

Recognizes significant clinical, managerial and/or administrative achievements in the field of urgent care medicine that have had an impact on the industry. Nominees may be an individual, an organization, or a company and must be a member of UCAOA.

 

Lifetime Membership Award

Significant contributions of an individual to UCAOA are recognized with awarding of lifetime membership. The awardee will be granted complimentary lifetime membership in UCAOA as well as complimentary registration to the UCAOA Urgent Care Convention & Expo the year he or she receives the award.

 

Advocacy Award

Awarded to an Individual, organization, or company for legislative or regulatory advocacy for urgent care on a state or national level. Nominees do not have to be members of UCAOA.

 

Community Service

Awarded for significant volunteer contribution by an individual, organization, or exhibitor that has had a positive impact on the health of that nominee’s community. Nominees must be members of UCAOA.

 

Humanitarian

Awarded for significant medical volunteer work by an individual, organization, or exhibitor which has a positive impact on a national or international cause or event. Nominees must be members of UCAOA.

 

Quality and Safety Award

Recognizes an individual, organization or exhibitor for significant efforts that focus on improved quality and safety in the field of urgent care medicine.

 


General Criteria for Awards

 

The general criteria for awards are as follows:

  • Nominations may be made by members, committees, the Board of Directors, exhibitors, staff, or anyone else interested in highlighting worthy efforts.

  • You may submit a nomination for you and your center or company or for the work of a colleague or friend.

  • Current Directors and Awards Committee members are not eligible for awards. The Awards Committee will judge the entries, with its recommendations for recipients subject to approval of the UCAOA Board of Directors.

  • The Board of Directors reserves the right to make no award if there are no nominees of sufficient merit.
